- Duration: 3 consecutive weeks
- Date and Location: between July 10 and August 14, 2017, with a training period in Rome and camps in Lampedusa and Umbria
Amnesty International is an independent NGO and global community of human rights defenders. The worldwide movement currently counts seven million members who promote a world in which all are able to enjoy human rights.
Volunteers will initially spend two weeks preparing for the Amnesty Summer Camp for Human Rights in Lampedusa at the organization’s headquarters in Rome. Once the camp begins, volunteers will assist in practical day-to-day organization in addition to participating in campaigning workshops.
To participate, volunteers should possess the following pre-requisites and materials:
- English level B1
- driver license B
- practical and organizational skills
- camping equipment (sleeping bag, etc.)
