In the sections below you will find useful information to prepare your arrival at Luiss.
If you are an international student who has been selected for one of our programs, you will receive an email at the beginning of the summer with all the information you need about Rome, Luiss and the services offered by our University.
All non-EU students who have been admitted to any program at Luiss University will receive an official invitation letter (after sending their personal information needed to issue the letter to the Welcome Desk), which is to be used when applying for an Italian study visa. Hard copies of the acceptance letters will only be sent to students that have to apply for a visa.
EU students who need an invitation letter are kindly requested to inform the Welcome Desk.
Students who need a study visa for Italy can visit the dedicated page on the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's website, in order to check the documentation they need and the specific Consulate/Embassy/Visa center they have to refer to.
Once in Italy, non-EU students need to apply for a residence permit no later than 8 working days after the date of their arrival (as shown on their visa, inside their passport).
Along with the rest of the information and documents sent prior to arrival, you will receive a form to fill out if you are interested in finding housing through the CasaLUISS Real Estate Agency.
If you would like to use this option, you will be put in contact with the CasaLUISS Real Estate Agency, which will email you with an offer of accommodation based on the needs and preferences indicated in the form.
QTEM, Utrecht and Louvain students are an exception to this rule. They will receive an offer from a different organization.
