If you care about issues of environmental sustainability and are involved (or have been involved) in ethically and socially committed activities related to them (associations, volunteer work, promotional activities), send your request to participate in the International Art and Environment Workshop, which will take place on March 1, 2014 starting at 10:00 a.m. in the Aula Polivalente at the LUISS Viale Romania campus.
The scheduled topic will be presented at the screening of the documentary, Last Call (translated into Italian as Ultima Chiamata), on the problem of environmental sustainability. It is hoped that watching the film will inspire reflection and creative ideas, which then can be put into practice in the classroom. Attendance at the screening of the documentary, scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aula Polivalente at the LUISS Viale Romania campus, is a prerequisite and therefore is required in order to participate in the workshop.
The workshop will be conducted in English by Prof. Claudia Sbrissa, a visiting artist and lecturer at St. John’s University, who will test your artistic creativity in using recycled materials, as already has been done in other international projects.
There will be an exhibition showing the projects, and the products will be donated to a voluntary organization supported by LUISS student associations.
To apply, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by February 21, 2014, with your first name, last name, identification number, and cell phone number. The email should also include a brief description of the activities in which you have participated in the past.
The first thirty students with relevant experience who register for the program will be able to participate.
At the end of the workshop, students will receive a certificate of attendance that can be added to their CV and which will be useful when applying for scholarships.
