Luiss in the top 25 worldwide in two U-Multirank categories

The ranking promoted by the European Commission compares 1,711 universities in 96 countries

Luiss is ranked among the top 25 universities in the world in the categories Co-Publications with Industrial Partners and Income from Continuous Professional Development Activities by U-Multirank for 2019. The ranking, generated by an international consortium of research centers and promoted by the European Commission, compares 1,711 universities in 96 countries.

“These excellent results,” observed Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe, “are testimony of our model of an engaged university based on knowledge production dynamics that guarantee fruitful interaction between academics, business leaders, professionals and policy makers, creating space for concrete actions for symbiosis between academic rigor and practical relevance, individual preparation and social collaboration. Luiss is driven by the challenges and complexities of modern society. The University aims to influence the future and generate an impact on society through actionable social science.”

Luiss is engaged in three strategic areas: Global, Business and Students & Alumni.

Luiss Global Engagement is based on the University’s internationalization process and on the involvement of foreign partners in a wide variety of projects. Our Business Engagement develops relationships with businesses and creates degree programs that focus on intersections of fields, to fulfill the needs of the job market while maintaining intellectual relevance. Lastly, our Student & Alumni Engagement accompanies students throughout their personal and professional development through orientation modules and both transversal and postgraduate educational opportunities.

States Luiss General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto: “We have received an important recognition of our years of work, consolidating our position on the national level and reaching new heights internationally. All of this is made possible thanks to a strategy that favors a blending of academic knowledge and professional skills, promotes critical thinking and offers students a problem-based and multidisciplinary educational model that is open to the world. This is the heart of lifelarge learning, an educational process that creates graduates who are open to new opportunities and chances to grow to become polyfunctional, strategic and efficient in the workforce.
