Alessandro Riches and Andrea Pelo among the participants in the Bain & Company Business Course

LUISS students Alessandro Riches and Andrea Pelo participated in this year’s Bain & Company Business Course alongside 22 other students from all over Italy.

Alessandro, after completing his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management, chose to complete a master’s degree in Management with a major in Luxury, Fashion and Creative Industries. His career at LUISS, however, began in 2012 when he attended a Summer School session. It was precisely this experience that demonstrated the “quality of LUISS course offerings and the opportunity that the University offers after graduation,” he explains.

Alessandro’s experience at LUISS allowed him to solidify his international base. “During my bachelor’s degree, I participated in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation in China program at Fudan University in Shanghai, and recently, I also attended a Luxury Management program at HEC Paris.”

Andrea is currently enrolled in the LUISS master’s program in Management and majoring in Corporate Finance. “I enrolled in the program because I was interested in learning more about the subject and the program’s practical approach.”

While at LUISS, Andrea has participated in a variety of extracurricular activities such as JELU, the LUISS Junior Enterprise, Adoption Lab with Hermès and in the Dutch-Italian Business Challenge 2017: "I also participated in several seminars and courses which helped me in both my hard and soft skills.”

In March 2018, both students participated in the Bain & Company Business Course in Milan. During the three days of intense preparation, the 24 students worked in groups to develop strategies for different sectors. “Participating in the Business Course means delving deep into real-world topics in a limited amount of time and understanding personal objectives and limits,” explain the students. “We would recommend the course to students interested in strategic consulting, as it was an excellent way to prepare for this career and understand the importance of teamwork.”

In the future, Andrea would like to continue setting new goals while Alessandro would like to work abroad and challenge himself every day.”
