The Department of Business and Management of Luiss University invites outstanding scholars to express their interest for one full-time Assistant professorship of Organizational Theory and Behaviour. Candidates must hold a PhD from a leading university, have teaching experience, a proven ability to deal with primary sources, and a relevant record of publications.
Ideal candidates will show a passionate drive to develop research projects and engage in Luiss University’s dynamic and stimulating academic environment, contributing to its further development. They will have research experience on and intend to pursue research projects in the field of organization studies, with a possible focus on organization theory, organizational behaviour, management of technology, organizing innovation, organization design, digital organizing.
They will be able to teach and publish in English.
Role and Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor of Organizational Theory and Behaviour is expected to undertake rigorous and innovative research in their field of interest, publish in high quality international outlets, and provide academic assistance in research activities. They are also expected to contribute to the activities of the CLIO research centre (http://clio.luiss.it/) to build and maintain links with industry partners, as well as to the collegial and intellectual life of the University and of the Luiss community at large.
This position is for a three-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal upon positive evaluation from the Department. Teaching load is one course per year either in an undergraduate or post-graduate program. Teaching can be either in English, Italian or both. The position holder will also supervise master’s dissertations and bachelor’s papers. Appointments are full-time and the salary is competitive.

Primary areas of faculty research include: accounting and performance measurement systems; business, corporate and international strategy; corporate governance; digital innovation and transformation; ethics, responsibility and sustainability; finance and banking; innovation and industry evolution; law and economics; marketing and consumer behaviour; organization theory and HRM; computer and data science.
