Enjoy an amazing experience walking inside Ostia Antica, a large archeological site with an original Greek theater, baths, Capitolium and the Jewish district with one of the most ancient synagogues in the Mediterranean.
Ostia (plural. of ostium) is a derivation of "os", the Latin word for "mouth": i.e. at the mouth of the Tiber.
The site is famous for the excellent preservation of its ancient buildings, magnificent frescoes and impressive mosaics.
All LUISS students are invited to join.
- When: Saturday, March 25, at 1:30 p.m.
Participants leave at 2:00 p.m. taking the Rome-Lido line and arrive in Ostia Antica at 2:45 p.m. The group will then take the 6:55 p.m. train from Ostia. This route is included in the Roma Capitale area, therefore regular ATAC tickets (€1.50) and monthly cards are valid.
- Meeting point: Porta San Paolo train station (Metro B line – Piramide stop. Trains leave from the other side of the same station)
- Fee: €7 euro per person (entry ticket + earbuds)
