International Training Program
LUISS Guido Carli announces a competition for the admission of two students to the ITP International Training Program, an advanced training program organized and funded jointly by LUISS Guido Carli and Terna S.p.A. The program blends academic education with practical business experience within the framework of the master’s degree program in Management, whose constituent courses are taught entirely in English. This call for applications is addressed to particularly brilliant students who hold or will hold by July 2019 a bachelor’s degree from a non-Italian university and who come from Brazil, Chile, Uruguay or Peru.
Each of the admitted students will be awarded a scholarship covering tuition fees (except for some taxes payable by law) and all costs for accommodation and meals for their stay in Rome for the entire normal duration of the program (2 academic years). Moreover, during the program the students will have the opportunity to undertake an internship at one of Terna’s locations in the countries that the program focuses on. Upon completion of the program Terna S.p.A. may decide to offer a job to the scholarship recipients.
2. Application procedure
The selection process will be split into the following rounds:
|1. Deadline for submission of application||2. Assessment of admissibility of candidacy||3. Communication of outcome of application||4. Enrollment|

To finalize the application candidates will have to upload the following documents while filling out the form:
- certificate of university enrollment/degree and/or academic transcript (in the event of admission, the document will have to be translated and legalized by the Italian diplomatic authorities in the country of origin);
- curriculum vitae (in English);
- statement of purpose (in English);
- letter of reference from a professor (in English);
- other optional certification, if any (for example, concerning language skills, GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examinations). For more information on tests, visit www.gmac.com and www.ets.org.
Only applications accompanied by all of the required documentation received by the relevant deadline indicated in Column 1 – Deadline for Submission of Application will be considered.
LUISS Guido Carli disclaims any liability in relation to applications that are not received due to technical issues or matters that fall within the remit of third parties.
3. METHOD OF GRANTING THE SCHOLARSHIPS
LUISS Student Office will screen the applications received, informing each candidate whether their own application is in order as regards the required documentation by the relevant deadline indicated in Column 2 – Assessment of Admissibility of Candidacy.
Subsequently, the candidacies that pass the initial screening as to their admissibility will be examined by a special Commission, which at its absolute discretion will evaluate the documentation, deciding on the admission of candidates to the program and awarding the two scholarships.
The Commission may summon the candidates for an oral interview, in person or by Skype. In that case the candidates will receive an e-mail with precise indications as to the date and time of the interview.
Candidates will be informed of the final outcome of their application – positive or negative as the case may be – for admission to the degree program and the ITP Program by the relevant deadline indicated in Column 3 – Communication of Outcome of Application and will have to enroll by the relevant deadline indicated in Column 4 – Enrollment.
4. CHECKING OF THE DOCUMENTATION
Successful candidates will be conditionally admitted at first, and thereafter fully admitted solely upon receipt by the Student Office of the original documentation, the statement of equivalent value and, for non-EU citizens, certification regarding the personal identity of the student (authenticated photograph) and an Italian permit of stay (permesso di soggiorno), to be sought from the competent authorities within 8 working days after arriving in Italy.
Candidates who are not admitted to the ITP Program but meet all the requirements for international selection may be contacted to explore opportunities for potential admission to other LUISS Guido Carli programs.
For any information regarding one’s qualifications and how to obtain a visa/study permit, the onus is on candidates to timely read “Rules for University Enrollment by Foreign Students” (norme per l’accesso degli studenti stranieri ai corsi universitari) and to contact the local Italian diplomatic authorities in the foreign country whose system awards the qualification in order to comply with the administrative procedures for the issuance of the required documentation.
Candidates can contact CIMEA for an advance assessment of their qualifications.
5. CONFIRMATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship will be confirmed for the second year on condition that by 31 July 2020 the grantee has earned at least 70% of the education credits required under the study plan for graduation and has a weighted grade average of not less than 27/30.
6. REVOCATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship will be revoked if the grantee:
a) fails to compete the enrollment process for the 2019/2020 academic year at LUISS Guido Carli in the manner and by the deadline specified in this Call for Applications;
b) discontinues his or her studies;
c) transfers to another degree program or university.
