Euro-Mediterranean Trends: Society and Culture, Politics and Economics

 The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) and LUISS University have joined their forces to launch a unique Summer School in Euro-Mediterranean Trends.

The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) and LUISS University have joined their forces to launch a unique Summer School in Euro-Mediterranean Trends. Learn about emerging dynamics in the Mediterranean in its heart, in Rome, and become part of a distinguished community of students from all over the world, who are interested to learn more about this region. The summer school will enable you to assess key themes of Euro-Mediterranean trends, including political, economic, and cultural dynamics, in their complexity. You will be taught by renowned professors and specialized researchers, experts in both, the academic and policy consulting fields. 

The summer school on Euro-Mediterranean Trends provides an interdisciplinary and comprehensive training for students who aim for career opportunities in international and intergovernmental organizations, policy consulting, think tanks, foundations and civil society, businesses, diplomacy, media and academia. With the summer school participants will have acquired: An in-depth knowledge on Euro-Mediterranean trends and instruments to critically analyse them in their multi-dimensional nature. 

The course includes three modules. the students have the opportunity to choose either one-week, two-week or three-week program.

  • Week 1
    Euro-Mediterranean Trends – Focus on Society and Culture
  • Week 2
    Euro-Mediterranean Trends – Focus on Politics
  • Week 3
    Euro-Mediterranean Trends – Focus on Economics

The program includes three written examinations, one exam for each module.  

The course structure includes visits to international Institutions and Organizations. Please note that some visits may be subject to change.

Fees: 

  • With accommodation in one of LUISS residence halls, double room: € 1000 (per week)
  • With accommodation in one of LUISS residence halls, single room: € 1200 (per week)

Partner universities and LUISS students will receive a 25% tuition fee reduction

Early bird applications will receive a 30% tuition fee reduction

Reductions are not cumulative

  • Academic program
  • Experiential Learning
  • Guided tour and various cultural activities in Rome
  • Accommodation
  • Free shuttle bus among LUISS Campuses
  • Access to the university's facilities (cafeteria, canteen, library, the Language Café)

(students have a special discount for eating at the canteen, each meal costs about 8 euros for student)
