In order to determine the economic situation (ISEE - Equivalent Economic Position Indicator), the following documentation must be submitted in support of the application:

Students from non-EU countries

  1. Certification of the income of all family members, issued by the appropriate authorities of the country that the income has been earned in and translated into Italian by the relevant Italian diplomatic authorities there.
  2. Certification of wealth (dwellings, lands, commercial premises, etc.), issued by the appropriate authorities of the country where the assets are located and translated into Italian by the relevant Italian diplomatic authorities there.
That documentation may be provided by the foreign diplomatic or consular authorities present in Italy for those countries where obtaining certification approved by the local Italian embassy proves to be especially difficult, in which case the documentation must be legalized by the relevant prefecture in Italy.

Foreign students coming from particularly poor countries

A declaration issued by the Italian diplomatic or consular authorities in the country of origin, attesting that the student is not a member of a family known to have a high income and social standing.

Students that are stateless or political refugees

  • The official certificate relating to their condition, issued by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs or the United Nations High Commission - Italian Office.
  • ISEE statement, issued by CAF and INPS.

Students coming from EU member states

Self-certification, to be submitted when filling out the application, of the income/wealth situation of the student's household for the previous year.

In the event of household members that have income generated in Italy, the student must submit an ISEE statement in order to eat at reduced meal rates.

Students enrolled for the 2015-2016 academic year who have not applied for reduced meal rates can access the cafeteria and benefit from a €8.00 meal rate throughout the entire academic year.
