Additional language courses (no credits)
In addition to the course offerings of each Department and on the basis of Academic Senate resolution of May 31 2016, students may be admitted to attend an additional language course with no credits.
Requirements to be admitted to additional language courses:
- enrolled in a course
- in order with previous exams
- in possession of a weighted average not less than 27/30
- apply by the course deadline
The following categories of students may request to be admitted to attend one of the interdepartmental language courses - on Saturdays - which will be active at the time of the request:
|DEGREE PROGRAM||YEAR OF ENROLLMENT||PRESENTATION OF APPLICATION BY||START OF LANGUAGE COURSE||DURATION OF LANGUAGE COURSE|
|Bachelor's||II||Start of second semester||Second semester, II year||3 semesters|
|Bachelor's||III||Start of first semester||First semester, III year||2 semesters|
|Master's||I||Start of second semester||Second semester, I year||2 semesters|

|Single-cycle||V||Start of first semester||First semester, V year||2 semesters|
Interested students must bring or send the request form - also by mail - to the University Language Center. Students will be notified of their acceptance through their LUISS email account - email@example.com - via a confirmation from firstname.lastname@example.org with all information and details related to the course.
Attendance may be granted for a minimum of two and up to a maximum of three semesters. If a student attends less than 50% of the course, enrollment will be revoked. The final language qualification is therefore subordinate to positive attendance for all semesters of the course.
The language chosen as an additional course must be different from potential mandatory and/or optional languages already part of the study plan.
Students taking courses without credit are still required to follow registration guidelines that apply to for-credit students.
Verification of non-overlap between the additional language course chosen and potential other activities is the responsibility of the student.
