The International Development Office will establish a mandatory arrival day, usually at the beginning or middle of September.
An orientation meeting will be held for all Double and Combined Degree and Structured Partnership students. At this meeting, our staff will provide you with all the information you need about Rome and LUISS, both in terms of academics and more practical matters.
At the end of the Orientation Day there will be a small reception, providing an opportunity to meet the other international students and socialize.
Student badge and email account
As soon as you arrive, you will receive your LUISS badge and your ID number and password. These credentials will allow you to enter the LUISS campuses, to use the services offered by LUISS (shuttle bus, Library, etc.) and to access the LUISS IT platform, where you can check your academic curriculum, register for examinations and print certificates.
You will also be provided with a LUISS email account. It is important to check your LUISS email account regularly, as all official communication from LUISS is sent to that address.
Permit of Stay information session
The International Development Office will hold a specific session dedicated to non-EU students who need to apply for an Italian Permit of Stay (permesso di soggiorno).
Our staff will assist students in filling out the required forms and will help them understand the next steps they need to take to obtain a Permit of Stay.
Campus tour (ESN)
A short tour of the LUISS campuses and facilities is offered to international students in collaboration with the ESN (Erasmus Social Network) student association. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the University’s layout and location as soon as you arrive.
