Gianluca Colacicco: putting himself to the test in an international context

The road to the job market starts the first day on campus

LUISS graduate Gianluca Colacicco works for Rome's Acea SpA in the company’s planning and control department.

In 2013 he began his bachelor’s program in Economics and Management, graduating with full marks in 2016. As I was finishing high school, I started looking for a university program: “I found that LUISS met all my needs and expectations thanks to its excellent organization and the quality of its courses. Not only do you learn what’s in the books, but also the flexibility and self-esteem necessary to take charge of your own future.”

Upon graduation, Gianluca decided to continue his studies at LUISS, registering for the master’s program in Management, studying entirely in English. He then participated in the Double Degree with Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon. I signed up knowing that a double degree would have given me the chance to interact on an international level, to test my skills in a socially and culturally diverse context and to build a network of students from different countries.

From his first days on campus, Gianluca felt that he was in the right place: “During General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto’s welcome speech, I got a very clear idea of the University’s values: respect for the rules, objectives, results and time that it takes to trace one’s path.”

“It was essential to start preparing for my professional future from the moment I set foot on campus,” explains Gianluca.

“The professors and the opportunities that LUISS offers create the right conditions to get the right start in the job market.”
