On Friday, May 4, the LUISS Viale Romania campus held the 22nd annual LUISS Career Day.
This year, students had the opportunity to create video résumés, to experience artificial intelligence and to see how one-click applications speed up selection processes for both companies and candidates.
The initiative introduces students to over 100 companies, institutions, law offices and international bodies, all in search of young talent.
Over 4,000 students are expected to meet heads of human resources in an interactive way to find the most appropriate positions for their aptitudes, in line with a job market that is rapidly approaching anew horizon of robotics and artificial intelligence.
The university organized social recruiting sessions where students and graduates learned how to present themselves on social networks such as LinkedIn, but also on Facebook and Instagram to show their personal brand and share their abilities and interests.
Career Day was also a celebration of merit, giving space to the Master Graduation Ceremony, during which over 1,500 of this year’s graduates heard departing words from LUISS Rector Paola Severino, President Emma Marcegaglia, Executive Vice President Luigi Serra and General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto.
Also participating in the event as an honorary graduate was Intesa San Paolo Head of Territorial Banking Stefano Barrese, LUISS Economics class of 1993.
LUISS graduates see fast career advancement and higher salaries in the first years of their career. The university is ranked eighth for career advancement three years after graduation in the Career Progress Rank of the Financial Times Master in Management Ranking 2017.
