Federica Fiorenza, Federico Bucci, Gabriele Fraboni and Lorenzo De Angelis are the 4 LUISS students from the Departments of Economics and Finance and Business and Management who took third place in the sixth edition of the Fund Management Challenge, an equity fund management challenge for university students organized by the CFA Society Italy.
The competition took place from February 9 until May 24 of this year and gave students the opportunity to compete in real-life institutional investment conditions. Under the supervision of Profesors Raffaele Oriani and Paolo Agnese, the students faced off against 18 teams from around Italy, working to achieve the highest return on their portfolio over four months of competiton.
“Our motto is: anything worth doing is worth doing well,” explained the students to CFA Society Italy. “There is something that each one of us thought when we decided to enter this competition: that it was worth it. Our objective was not the end, but the beginning of several challenges that we are ready to take on in any aspect of our lives. Precisely because it was worth participating in, every one of us gave our best, independent of the result.”
The students were awarded during the official ceremony on June 28 in Milan. The FMC is an highly competitive event that allows students to achieve the highest certification in the field of international finance, and is organized with the economic and technical support of CFA Institute, FactSet, UBS ETF, Hammer Partners, Aequitax SA and Kaplan-Schweser.
