Luiss is pleased to introduce you to the seminar " From Poverty to Development: Chinese Economic Growth in Historical Perspective".

The discussion  will  be held  by Gianni  Toniolo, Professor of Economic History at LUISS Guido Carli and  Professor Li Bozhong, Director of the History Department of Tsinghua University in Beijing.  

Luiss Guido Carli is glad to inform that, given the occasion of the next official G8 meeting 2009, which will be held in Italy under the presidency of the Italian Government,  Luiss University in cooperation with Initiative for Policy Dialogue (IPD) will host the second Shadow Gn meeting, in Viale Pola,12 on May 6th and 7th 2009.

 LUISS is organising an "Information Session on summer courses at the University of California-Irvine" which will take place at LUISS, Viale Romania, 32 (Aula Toti) at 15:00 p.m on Monday,  the 27th of April 2009.

The Sungkyunkwan University, the Korean's highest educational institution is offering a Summer School on Sustainable Global Prosperity.

The course will explore five sub-themes which report many of the most pressing humankind:

Climate & Environment ; Human Development ; Innovation ; Nature & Science; Wealth

IUSS-PAVIA, Institute for Advanced Study is organising, in cooperation with the Italian NGO's Cisp, Vis and the University of Pavia, a Master Program in Cooperation and Development.

The master lasts 15 months, from the beginning of November 2009 to the end of January 2011. It is based on an interdisciplinary approach within the area of cooperation and development, in relation to the subjects explored during the coursework: Economics, Human and Institutional Studies, Project Cycle Management.

The Wroclaw University of Economics is organising an international study program "The business on the Edge- Thriving in Uncertain Times".

The Summer School will take place from 4 to 18 July 2009, (the courses will include two weeks of interactive classes, workshops field trips to enterprises and a social programme).

A rolling application for the Master in European Studies (MES)  2009/2010 is open. Incoming applications, with enclosed the complete documentation as required on the MES website, will be evaluated in order of their date of arrival (by e-mail to mes@luiss.it) or postmark (by ordinary mail). Admitted candidates will be invited to enroll as long as places in the MES class 2009/2010 are available.
