We are very pleased to announce that four LUISS'students have been selected to participate in the "2010- Rotman International Trading Competition", which will take place from the 18th to the 20th of February in Toronto, Canada.


Information Session on Summer Courses at the University of California-Irvine

After last year's success, LUISS is organizing an Information Session on Summer Courses at the University of California-Irvine, which will take place on Wednesday, April 14th2010, in Viale Pola, 12 at 3:30 p.m.

LUISS graduate in ENA

 We are very pleased to announce that Sebastiano Dondi, a LUISS graduate with degree in Public Law,  has been recently admitted to the CYCLE INTERNATIONAL LONG 2009-2011 of the prestigious "Ecole Nationale d'Administration- ENA" in Strasburg.

We wish Sebastiano all the best, sure that this new prominent experience will be very beneficial for his future.

 


Italian Academy - Columbia University

Located on the campus of Columbia University in New York City, the Italian Academy is a renowned center for advanced research hosting scholars from around the world.

Applications are invited for projects related to cultural memory in all its aspects; to work at the intersection of history, ethnography, and anthropology; to encounters between cultures both historical and contemporary; and to the histories of art,music, literature, and philosophy. Applications dealing with the scientific and technological aspects of culture and memory are also encouraged.

We are pleased to inform you that on the 1st October 2009, Professor George Edwards, Director of the Program in International Human Rights Law of the Indiana University School of Law, will give a lecture:

Clinton Global Initiative University

Each year, the Clinton Global Initiative University hosts a meeting for students, national youth organizations, and university officials to discuss solutions to pressing global issues. The third annual CGI U Meeting will be held at the University of Miami from April 16-18, 2010. At this meeting, nearly 1,500 attendees will come together to make a difference in CGI U's five focus areas: Education, Environment & Climate Change, Peace & Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health.


Research Fellowship in Economics and Finance

The "Associazione Borsisti  Marco Fanno" in  memory of  Franco Modigliani is providing a Research Fellowship in Economics and Finance.

The competition is open to foreign researchers based in non-Italian institutions who wish to work in an Italian university.


Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program 2010 /2011

The Vanier Scholarships Program provides scholarships for international students in order to attend a Phd in Canada.

The aim of the programme is to support the students which demonstrate a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies and leadership skill. A number of 166 scholarships are available and each one consist of CAD$50.000 per year, for a maximum of three years.


LUISS students at the Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference 2009

Two LUISS students, Francesco Caccamo and Diana Bak, excelled at the recent Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference (AMUNC) 2009 hosted by the University of Queensland from 11-18 July.

  • Francesco Caccamo - 6th General Assembly Commettee (Legal) represented People's Republic of China;
  • Diana Bak - 4th General Assembly Commettee (Special Political and Decolonisation) represented Indonesia;
Francesco Caccamo was also the recipient of a special diplomacy award in recognition of his special effort throughout the week.
