Expression of Interest for the Position of Assistant Professor in Mathematical Finance

The Department of Economics and Finance of LUISS University invites young and promising scholars to express their interests for 1 full-time Assistant Professorship in Mathematical Finance.

Profile

Successful candidates will show a passionate drive to become leading scholars in their field.

The Assistant Professor will have a PhD (or be close to complete one) from a leading school, an active research program in Mathematical Finance and related fields, such as Asset Pricing, Financial and Credit Derivatives, Optimal Portfolio, Risk Management, Insurance and Pension, and the potential to publish in top journals. She/he will have some teaching experience.

Position

Funding for conferences attendance is available. Teaching could be either in English, Italian or both. Teaching load is 2 courses per year either in an undergraduate or a post-graduate program. Candidates will supervise master dissertations and bachelor papers in their fields. Teaching assistants are also available. Appointments are full-time and the salary is competitive. The contract is 3 years, renewable in case of positive evaluation by the Department.
