The generational divide is the accumulated delay of new generations reaching economic independence. The Generational Divide Index is a synthetic indicatory created to reveal the obstacles to reaching economic and social maturity that young generations face.
The 2018 Fondazione Bruno Visentini Report, published a year after the first report entitled The Generational Divide Between Conflict and Solidarity, includes an updated and more sophisticated Generational Divide Index with an analysis of new challenges posed by digitalization and automation and the role of new generations in the digital economy.
