Double Degree LUISS - Nova

From the academic year 2010-2011, the LUISS Faculty of Economics will offer 3 paths of double degrees in partnership with Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Students enrolled to the first year of the Master's Degrees in General Management (willing to choose the Majors in Management of Innovation, Finance or International Business) and Economia e Finanza - Major in Financial Economics in 2010-2011, will have the opportunity to participate.

Courses will be held in English in the two universities and will be patterned as follows:

  • DDMN - Double Degree in Management with Nova, for students enrolled in the Master's Degree in General Management (willing to choose the Majors in Management of Innovation, Finance o International Business)
  • DDEN - Double Degree in Economics with Nova, for students enrolled in the Master's Degree in Economia e Finanza - Major in Financial Economics
  • DDFN - Double Degree in Finance with Nova, for students enrolled in the Master's Degree in Economia e Finanza - Major in Financial Economics

Participating students will be selected during their first year course and will have the possibility to attend courses and respective exams both at LUISS and Nova, obtaining a final double Italian and Portuguese Degree.

The above mentioned students will be able to participate only if, within the extraordinary examination session 2010 (January- February 2011), they will have passed a total of 2 exams during their first semester (excluding additional courses, "corsi liberi") with an average grade of 26/30. The application deadline for participating to the selection will be March 7th 2011.

The selected students will leave during their second year course. The students will be registered at LUISS during their stay at Nova, being exempt from taxes at Nova, while continuing their regular fees and payments at LUISS.

Selected students, in order to achieve a double degree, will have to be in compliance with both universities' rules and conditions, as for credits envisaged, attendance, deadlines etc..

The students registered to the Financial Economics Major, who are interested in this double degree program, will have to anticipate the Company and Business Law course on their first year (to take within the first year of the Master Degree in General Management).
