Master's Degree Program in Economics and Business Management

The Master's Degree Program in Economics and Business Management is a two-year, 120 credit (ECTS credits) program. The language of instruction is Italian.
The academic curriculum of the Program is designed to educate students with an in-depth knowledge of corporate dynamics and management techniques, as well as quantitative and qualitative tools applied to small, medium and large organizations. Focus is placed on the companies operating at an international level. Graduates develop their problem solving skills in corporate or single business unit management, change management, setting and implementation of business projects, and in the implementation of operative measures.
Majors
When applying to admission exam, students must choose between five major fields of study:
- Major in Corporate Finance: the curriculum focuses on the understanding and skills related to financial or "Administration, Finance and Control" of economic organizations. It also provides the tools necessary to analyze and solve problems of financial and patrimonial nature, and to take financial decisions regarding competitive strategy and company development.
- Major in Entrepreneurship: students are provided with the knowledge and background for entrepreneurship and they are trained to analyze and take advantage of the business opportunities on all scales, from family businesses to national and international levels.
- Major in Management: the curriculum provides a comprehensive knowledge base, giving the student a systematic and integrated view of management problems related to an economic organization. Graduates are trained to operate in a broad range of applied fields.
- Major in Marketing: the curriculum supplies the knowledge and skills necessary to operate in the marketing sector of companies and other organizations. Students acquire a high level of specialization both in competitive markets (convenience goods, intermediate sector, etc.), and in the management of strategic (segmentation, positioning) and operative (pricing, branding, distribution, etc.) problems.
- Professional Studies: students are provided with the skills required to pursue a professional carrier in corporate and fiscal consultation and auditing.
The Program aims to meet the following educational goals:
- Knowledge and understanding: acquisition of a specialized education in the different functional areas of companies. Enhancement of interpretation skills in corporate and management sectors, through the use of interpretation models applied to a number of areas (strategic, organizational, management and marketing control).
- Applied knowledge and understanding: acquisition of specific skills in financial analysis (Major in Corporate Finance), corporate management (Major in Management) and marketing (Major in Marketing). Training for specific carriers in corporate consultancy services (Major in Professional Studies) and for the management of entrepreneurial opportunities (Major in Entrepreneurship).
- Independent judgment: acquisition of the skills required for the implementation of advanced methods, analysis and decision-making tools.
- Communication skills: advanced interpretation of data and their spreading techniques; ability to interact in an operational scenario through specialized knowledge; mastery in professional English is encouraged.
- Learning skills: active participation by students, allowing them to analyze complex problems, stimulating a critical approach and innovative solutions.
