Doctoral Program in History and Theory of Economic Development

The Doctoral Program (i.e. the Italian degree Dottorato di ricerca) in History and Theory of Economic Development is a three year program providing advanced education in the field of economic history and economic theory, seen in their dynamic and mutual connections.

The program is intended for those who wish to pursue academic as well as professional careers (Universities, financial, governmental, private and research institutions, economic institution for national and international development, etc).

Classes and seminars are offered by scholars and experts from Italy and abroad. The program is taught in Italian and requires full time attendance. Students focus on individual researches on the basis of their dissertation program, which is submitted to, and approved by, the doctoral faculty.

Four positions are available. Two positions come with a scholarship.
