Sponsored Scholarships for a.y. 2010-2011 - Deadline expired

Attention: the deadline for this Call expired on April 21st 2010

Thanks to Vodafone's funding, LUISS Guido Carli offers three (3) scholarships for the two year Master Degree Program in International Relations - Faculty of Political Science - Major in International Relations, for the a.y. 2010/2011 admissions. These scholarships are addressed to students with Turkish nationality, who will have been admitted and will have registered to the 1st year course of the Master Degree Program in International Relations.

Each scholarship will include for the a.y. 2010/2011:

  • a partial exemption of 6.500,00 Euros from the LUISS Guido Carli tuition fee (therefore the only expected fee will be equal to 1.900,00 Euros, plus the regional tax envisaged by the Student Union - Diritto allo Studio);
  • a free accommodation allocation throughout the period September 1st 2010 - August 31st 2011, excluding utilities expenses (electricity, gas, etc.), if the students awarded the partial tuition exemptions demonstrate that their family income and wealth situation determine an "ISEE" (an indicator set through the Diritto allo Studio criteria) lower than 25.000,00 Euros.

In order to prove their economic and family situation, students are required to send via post the following documentation, translated in Italian by the relevant Italian diplomatic authorities, within the application deadline of April 21st 2010:

  • Certification of the nuclear family composition;
  • Certification of the gross income of all family members throughout the year 2009, issued by the appropriate authorities of the country where the income has been earned;
  • Certification of wealth (dwellings, lands, commercial premises, etc.), earned within December 31st 2009, issued by the appropriate authorities of the country where the assets are located.

The documentation must be sent via post office at the following address: LUISS Guido Carli - Segreteria Studenti - Viale Romania, 32 - 00197 Rome, within April 21st 2010. The requested documentation will have to be sent and scanned in advance to the following email address: masterdegree@luiss.it.

In order to apply to the scholarship, interested candidates, within the April 21st 2010 deadline, will have to submit a request for the scholarship in the dedicated section of the online application form of the Master Degree Program in International Relations.

The scholarships will be assigned to the first three students with Turkish nationality, according to the results of the admission ranking at LUISS Guido Carli. If equal ranking occurs, the student with the lowest family income will be awarded the scholarship.

Applicants will thus be informed of the scholarship evaluation results as soon as the rankings of the International Relations Degree Program - Major in International Relations - are released.

In order to maintain the LUISS sponsored scholarship for the following second year (a.y 2011/2012) of the Master Degree in International Relations, students will be required to attain an average grade point of 26/30 and have obtained 50% of CFU (credits), envisaged for the first year course within the summer session of the a.y. 2010/2011. If the students meet these requirements, the free accommodation allocation will also be extended to August 31st 2012.

These benefits will be revoked in case of registration as a repeating student, of registration outside the course timeframe or in case of a transfer between faculties or to another university. In case of scholarship renunciation or revocation, the residual amount will be addressed to following scholarships, to be announced for a.y. 2011/2012.

Candidates will promptly be informed in case the Major will not be offered.
