South American Business Forum (SABF) 5th edition
The aim of the South American Business Forum is to generate a debate and an exchange of ideas on several South American issues, among students coming from all over the world.
A short description of this event by Nicola Magri, a student from Luiss who has participated in the SABF 2008 edition, is reported herein below to help you gain tangible idea of the initiative at issue:
"The South American Business Forum (SABF) is much more than a round table of speakers. It is an event which is very special because the business leaders, the academics and the managers taking part are extraordinary. These people are willing to share their view with 100 students from all over the world who challenge them in order to find together ideas and strategies which can change the society we live in. The SABF, organized by the students of the ITBA, Buenos Aires, gave me the invaluable opportunity of sharing my view with youth from all over the world and to discuss with top executives about the opportunities of change, about the need of innovation, about the issues and the future of our communities. The energy of these top leaders combined with the enthusiasm of the 100 youth participants created an amazing atmosphere which is difficult to describe.
The 2009 topic is "New Paradigms, New Challenges"; if you are willing to share and challenge you view with others, then do not be afraid to do so, this event is for you!"
The Forum will take place on 7, 8, and 9 August 2009 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
To attend the Forum, along with an application form, candidates must submit an essay of their own authorship on the following theme: "New paradigms, new challenges". An independent jury made up by professors, business leaders and journalists will make the selection.
The deadline to apply is May 10th 2009.
